The Ultimate City To Island Adventure

One trip, two incredible destinations, reimagining the traditional Tasmanian escape

Two of Tasmania’s finest hotels, The Tasman, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Hobart, and Kittawa Lodge, have unveiled a brand-new itinerary combining Hobart with Tasmania’s wild and remote King Island, called The Ultimate City To Island Adventure.

Kittawa Lodge, having been named as the best resort in Australia and the second best resort in Australasia and the South Pacific in the 2023 Conde Nast Traveller’s Readers’ Choice Awards, and The Tasman having been named as one of the best hotels in the world in the same publication, create an exceptional luxury adventure for guests.

A rare and extraordinary pairing, guests can take in the cultural and historic highlights of Hobart, before transferring to Launceston and flying to King Island to discover the luxury accommodation at Kittawa Lodge, nestled in pristine wilderness.

A natural alignment, both Kittawa Lodge and The Tasman are deeply and authentically connected to their destination.  History finds meaning in both hotels’ identities, with The Tasman featuring original 1840s Georgian and 1940s Art Deco architecture, while Kittawa Lodge is built on 12,000-year-old grassy sand dunes.  With these values at the forefront, both properties have come together to curate a unique and quintessentially Tasmanian experience.
